IPX5 and IPX6 Jet Hose Nozzles Water Ingress Protection Testing Equipment

1. Introduction

The IPX5 and IPX6 tests are made by spraying the enclosure from all practicable directions with a stream of water from standard test nozzles, the test nozzles (hose nozzles) with Φ6.3mm and Φ12.5mm diameter are strictly designed according to IEC60529 figure 6, and the test chamber can completely meet the test requirement of  IEC60529:1989 +A1:1999 +A2:2013 clauses 14.2.5 and 14.2.6.


IPX5 and IPX6 water ingress protection testing equipment is consisted by test tunnel and test chamber. Test nozzles are placed at the test tunnel with a distance of 2.8m from the center of the turntable, the turntable is inside the test chamber, the test nozzles can swing up and down automatically to spray the enclosure from all practicable directions. Built-in water tank and the water can be recycled, the test is controlled by PLC and touch screen, the delivery rate is 12.5L/min±5% for IPX3 test and 100L/min±5% for IPX4 test, the water pressure should be adjusted to achieve the specified delivery rates, test duration per square meter of enclosure surface area likely to be sprayed for 1 min, minimum test duration is 3min.


2. Features:

● For IPX5 and IPX6 waterproof testing.

● Integral structure, the nozzles are fixed on test tunnel, and can automatically swing up and down,operator just to fix the sample and start the test.

● Mainframe and turntable are made by SUS304# stainless steel to ensure rustless for long time.

● Built-in water tank, auto to control the water level with the help of water floating ball valve, and alarm at high or low level to protect from the damage caused by low water level.

● The water can be recycled.

● The delivery rate is manually controlled by rotameter.

● Adopts speed motor, the speed in the standard range, and can control the positive and negative direction automatically to prevent winding during live test.

● Jet nozzles: strictly designed according to IEC60529.

● Built-in outlet in the chamber (AC220V, 10A) for live test. The power on and power off time can be controlled: off (0~999min)-on (0~999min)-off (o-999min), fit for power on and off test.

● Test time can be set at the touch screen. Time setting range: 0~999min (adjustable), auto shut down when finish the test.

● Adopts 7 inch touch screen and Panasonic PLC. The electrical components adopt famous brands such as LS and Omron. The wiring technology meets the requirements of national standards. The electrical board layout is reasonable, the wiring is firm, and the marking is clear.

● Easy to operation, IPX5 and IPX6 testing can easy conversion.

● A LED lamp is installed in the test chamber to facilitate observation of the samples during the test.

● The jet nozzles can be automatically swing up and down, and the turntable can be rotated. It can basically realize all practicable directions spray on the sample surface.
