IEC60068-2-75 IK level Test Equipment 2J to 20J pendulum Impact Hammers

The IK07 to IK10 pendulum impact test apparatus is designed according to IEC60068-2-75 Test Eha and IEC62262 (equivalent EN62262), and can meet the test requirements of IEC60598, EN50102. The IK Code was originally defined in European Standard BS EN 50102:1995 and amended in 1998, following its adoption as an international standard (IEC 62262) in 2002, the European standard was renumbered EN 62262. The IK code is from 00 to 10, and corresponding impact energy is from 0.14J to 20J.

The pendulum impact hammer is applied to test the mechanical impact resistance of household and similar electronic and electrical products and their accessories such as plugs, sockets and surface mounting boxes, screw glands, covers, switches, lamps and etc. to assess the safety performance and strength levels of the products. The striking element is freely released at a certain height through a 1 meter pendulum rod, and hits the sample at the lowest point in the vertical direction. After the transformation of gravitational potential energy to kinetic energy, the purpose of impact testing on the sample is achieved.

The pendulum impact test apparatus adopts a trolley structure, which can freely move as a whole. The height of impact points can be adjusted through the screw guide rail, and the impact angle can be adjusted from 0 to 90°.

1). Pendulum rod angle: 0-90 ° adjustable, scale display

2). Pendulum rod length: 1000mm

3). Pendulum rod diameter: 9mm (it works with 2J striking element) and 15.9mm (it works with 5J, 10J, 20J striking elements)

4). Equipped with 2J*1, 5J*1, 10J*1, 20J*1 striking elements

5). Impact height: 200mm~1200mm adjustable

6). Impact energy, equivalent mass and drop height chart:

How to conduct the ESD test?

What is ESD test? Electrostatic discharge immunity test is a basic EMC test . S tandard IEC61000-4-2 provide the immunity requirements and test methods for electrical and electronic equipment subjected to static electricity discharges, from operators directly, and to adjacent objects . T he standard establish a common and reproducible basis for evaluating the performance of electrical and electronic equipment when subjected to electrostatic discharges. Electrostatic discharge is a transfer of electric charge between bodies of different electrostatic potential in proximity or through direct contact. The standard IEC61000-4-2 does not intend to specify the tests to be applied to particular apparatus or system, it is to give a general basic reference to all concerned product .   S o before conduct the test, an appropriate test level should be selected according to the product's characters and its working occasion.   Contact discharge and air discharge methods The test leve...

The relationship between standards IEC62262 and IEC60068-2-75

The IK code is a coding system to indicate the degree of protection provided by an enclosure against harmful external mechanical impacts. The standard IEC62262 defines the impact energy corresponding to different IK codes. In general, the degree of protection applies to the complete enclosure. If parts of the enclosure have differing degrees of protection, the latter shall be indicated separately.
