Frequently Asked Questions for IPX1 to IPX6 waterproof Testing Equipment

 IPX12 (floor-stand type)

1. How does your equipment achieve the 15-degree tilt required by the IPX2 test?

Pego: The turntable can tilted 15 degrees in 4 positions.

2. Does the test needle easy to replace?

Pego: Yes, the nozzle can be changed easily. 100 spare needles and 20 spare brass needle holders will be shipped together with the equipment.

3. Can the height of the turntable be adjusted?

Pego: No, the height of turntable is fixed. But the drip board can be lifted up and down. It will automatically stop at a distance of 20mm from the sample.

4. How to clean up the accumulated water in the drip board?

Pego: It has the function of air-drying by connecting with air compressor. After the test is completed, the excess water in the drip board can be drained out to avoid long-term accumulation of water and scale and block the pinhole.

5. Does the equipment includes water filter?

Pego: Yes, the water filter is included to filter the impurity in the water, and it is easy to replace. In additional, a spare water filter will be shipped together with the equipment.

6. Does the device support live testing? Is there a winding problem?

Pego: Yes, the equipment can support live testing, there is waterproof socket-outlet (220V/10A) built-in the turntable, and the power on and power off time can be set on the touch screen. In order to prevent winding, the turntable can be rotated forward or reversed.

7. Does the equipment come with a water tank?

Pego: No, the equipment has no water tank. The equipment can connect with tap water directly, normally, the flow rate of tap water can reach the standard requirement.

8, Is there any requirements for installtion site?

Pego: Yes. 1). the ground is level, the drainage is unobstructed, the ground and walls are waterproofed, and the floor drain or drainage ditch is set. 2). The user is required to configure a water source for the equipment at the installation site, with a water pressure not less than 0.2Mpa, and install a 4/8 inch faucet.

IPX34(floor-stand type)

1. Does the oscillating tubes can be changable?

Pego: Yes.

2. Can the height of the turntable be adjusted?

Pego: Yes, the height of turntable can be adjusted.

3. Does the test needle easy to replace? Any special tool should be used?

Pego: Yes, the nozzle can be changed easily. 100 spare needles and 20 spare brass needle holders will be shipped together with the equipment. No need tool.

4. Does the device support live testing? Is there a winding problem?

Pego: Yes, the equipment can support live testing, there is waterproof socket-outlet (220V/10A) built-in the control pillar, and the power on and power off time can be set on the touch screen. In order to prevent winding, the turntable can be rotated forward or reversed.

5. Does the equipment come with a water tank?

Pego: Yes, the equipment has a 30L water tank.

6. Does the equipment includes water filter?

Pego: Yes, the water filter is included to filter the impurity in the water, and it is easy to replace. In additional, a spare water filter will be shipped together with the equipment.

7. Is there any requirements for installtion site?

Pego: Yes. 1). the ground is level, the drainage is unobstructed, the ground and walls are waterproofed, and the floor drain or drainage ditch is set. 2). The user is required to configure a water source for the equipment at the installation site, with a water pressure not less than 0.2Mpa, and install a 4/8 inch faucet.

IPX56 (floor-stand type)

1. Does the equipment come with a water tank?

Pego: Yes, the equipment has a 550L water tank.

2. How to control the test distance?

Pego: Manual control the test distance 2.5m to 3m.

3. What is the largest sample that can be tested by the equipment?

Pego: There is no limitation on sample size.

4. Does the equipment includes water filter?

Pego: Yes, the water filter is included to filter the impurity in the water, and it is easy to replace. In additional, a spare water filter will be shipped together with the equipment.

How to conduct the ESD test?

What is ESD test? Electrostatic discharge immunity test is a basic EMC test . S tandard IEC61000-4-2 provide the immunity requirements and test methods for electrical and electronic equipment subjected to static electricity discharges, from operators directly, and to adjacent objects . T he standard establish a common and reproducible basis for evaluating the performance of electrical and electronic equipment when subjected to electrostatic discharges. Electrostatic discharge is a transfer of electric charge between bodies of different electrostatic potential in proximity or through direct contact. The standard IEC61000-4-2 does not intend to specify the tests to be applied to particular apparatus or system, it is to give a general basic reference to all concerned product .   S o before conduct the test, an appropriate test level should be selected according to the product's characters and its working occasion.   Contact discharge and air discharge methods The test leve...

The relationship between standards IEC62262 and IEC60068-2-75

The IK code is a coding system to indicate the degree of protection provided by an enclosure against harmful external mechanical impacts. The standard IEC62262 defines the impact energy corresponding to different IK codes. In general, the degree of protection applies to the complete enclosure. If parts of the enclosure have differing degrees of protection, the latter shall be indicated separately.
