Significance of Strong Water Spray Test

The strong jet water testing equipment is a device used to test the ability of enclosure to withstand high-intensity water jets. The equipment is usually integrated with high pressure water pump, flowmeter, booster pump and etc. to generate high-intensity water flow, and jet the device under test at a distance of 2.5m to 3m. The main test purpose includes:

1. Verify the waterproof performance of the product: the strong jet water testing equipment can simulate the protection ability of the product in the environment of rain, flood and etc., so as to verify whether the product meets the corresponding waterproof level standard (IPX5, IPX6). Through the tests, the waterproof performance of the product can be checked to evaluate whether it can withstand the water jets and powerful water jets.

2. Verify the sealing performance of the product: The strong jet water testing equipment can apply specified water pressure and flow to test the sealing performance of the device under test. The test can check if the product has the problems of air leakage and water leakage, and if the enclosure is sufficiently airtight to keep the interior of the product dry and hygienic.

3. Verify the water resistance of the product: the strong jet water testing equipment can simulate the environment where the product is soaked in water to evaluate the water resistance of the product. Through the tests, it can verify if the product can keep its original function and performance after long-term water immersion.

4. Verify the safety performance of the product: the strong jet water testing equipment can test the product’s safety performance to ensure that it will not cause harm to the human body and the surrounding environment when subjected to high-intensity water jets. This test can verify the safety performance and protection ability of the device under test, and assess its ability to meet relevant safety standards.

To sum up, the strong jet water testing equipment is mainly used to test the waterproof performance, sealing performance, water resistance and safety of the product, so as to evaluate whether it can adapt to various environments and application requirements.

UL746A High Current ARC Ignition Test Apparatus 32.5A/COSφ0.5

UL746A High Current ARC Ignition Test Apparatus 32.5A/COSφ0.5   1.  Introduction: The high current arc ignition tes t apparatus is designed according to  IEC60950-1:2001  clause 4.7.3.6 , BS/EN60950-1:2001, BS7002:2001, GB4943-2001 and UL746A, IEC60947.1:1999, GB/T14048.1-2000, IEC730.1:1993, GB14536.1-1998 and etc..  It ’ s used to measure and assess  solid insulating material against to resistance to ignition from arcing electrical sources. A power 240V(AC)/60Hz is to be supplied to the test electrodes  (fixed electrode and movable electrode) , a series (inductive-resistive) air core impedance is to be provided to yield a short circuit current of 32.5A and a power factor of 0. 5. The sample is be to positioned with the electrodes making initial contact on the surface of the sample, the circuit is to be energized and the cyclic arcing started. The timing of arcs is to be adjusted to a rate of 40 arcs/min, the rate of electrode separation is to be 254±...
