What is IP code probes?

“IP” comes from standard IEC60529, it is short for “ ingress protection ” . IP code is a code system to indicate the degree of protection provided by an enclosure against access to hazardous parts, ingress of solid foreign object and water. The protection level is usually expressed by two numbers after IP, and the numbers are used to clarify the protection level. The first numbers (0 to 6) show the protection provided by an enclosure against access to hazardous parts or ingress of solid foreign object. The second numbers (0 to 8) show the protection provided by an enclosure against ingress of water. The IP code probes are used to verify the first numbers 1 to 4. The IP code probes includes test probe A, test probe B, test probe C, test probe 1 and test probe 2: 1). Probes A, B, C and D are access probes to verify protection of persons against access to hazardous liver parts or hazardous mechanical parts. The probes are simulating in a conventional manner a part of a person or a t...

The difference of the dielectric strength test instrument on standards IEC60065 and UL1310

https://www.pegotester.com/dielectric_strength_test_instrument.html#_jcp=3_17 The dielectric strength test instrument is an auxiliary equipment for testing the dielectric strength of insulating material. The two standards IEC60065:2014 and UL1310:2017 have referred this equipment, but have difference on the details. In standard IEC60065:2014, there are detailed drawings as below, but there are no specific regulations on the material of the electrode, in the standard UL1310:2017, the size and material of the electrode are described in detail, but no drawings are given. In IEC60065:2014: In UL1310:2017:   But in practice, we usually make two standard requirements into one device, the equipment will includes 2 electrodes, the electrode has diameter 5mm±0.1mm and weight of 100g±1g is conform to IEC60065 standard, and the other electrode has diameter 6.4mm±0.1mm and weight of 50g±1g is conform to UL1310 standard. The electrodes are normally made of stainless steel...

The material of standardized cookware in EN60350-2 version 2018 and version 2013

The standardized cookwares referred in this article are designed according to EN(IEC)60350-2 table (Z)3. The diameter of the cookware bottom (outside), diameter of the lid, lid hole circle diameter, number of holes on the circle, total cookware height (outside) and flatness of cookware bottom are specified in table (Z)3. The materials of side wall, cookware bottom and lid are different. In version 2018, the side wall of cookware is made of stainless steel AISI type 304, the cookware bottom is made of stainless steel AISI type 430, and and the lid is made of aluminium. In version 2013, the side wall of cookware is made of 1.4301 stainless steel, the cookware bottom is made of stainless steel 1.4016, and the lid is made of aluminium. The difference of low carbon steel vessels in IEC60335-2-6 version 2004 and version 2014

The low-carbon steel test vessels referred in this article is produced in accordance with the requirements of the standard IEC60335-2-6 Figure 102 for testing induction hob elements. In the standard, the wall thickness (A), base thickness, the maximum concavity(C), the diameter (d) and the height (e) are all have detail instructions, and the description is as follows: The vessels are made of low carbon steel having a maximum carbon content of 0.08% .  It is cylindrical without metallic handles or protrusions. The diameter of the flat area of the base of the vessel shall be at least the diameter of the cooking zone. The base of the vessel shall not be convex. The concavity of the base of the vessel shall not exceed 0.6% of its diameter .   But for the base  thickness, the standard IEC60335-2-6 in version  2014 and version 2004 are slightly different. In the 2004 version, the bottom thickness of all sizes is required to be 2mm±0.5mm. However, in the 2014 version, the...

Operation video of Spring Hammer

Spring impact hammer 1.  Introduction Spring hammer is designed according to IEC60068-2-75 Ehb and IEC62262.   IK ratings are defined as IKXX, XX is a number from 00 to 10 which indicates the degrees of protection provided by enclosures against external mechanical impacts. The different IK rating relate to the ability of an enclosure to resist impact energy levels measured in joules (J). Spring hammer is from 0.14J to 2J, each energy has a spring hammer, or user can choose universal spring hammer to achieve IK01 to IK06 testing at one time.
